Dear students and colleagues,
Do NOT enter campus if you have close COVID-19 contact
We have repeated cases of staff members who should not have entered the campus under our infection control measures but who nonetheless entered the campus. This brought unacceptable health risks to the university community, forced numerous HKBU members whom they have contacted to undergo quarantine and take COVID-19 test, and created unnecessary anxiety and extensive disinfection work. This must be avoided.
Please be reminded that you MUST NOT ENTER CAMPUS if, in the past 14 days, you have any COVID-like symptoms, or you have been required to take COVID-19 test. In addition, you MUST NOT ENTER CAMPUS if, in the past 14 days, you have had close contact with one of the following three categories of people:
● | A confirmed COVID-19 case, or |
● | A person undergoing compulsory quarantine, or |
● | A person required by the HKSAR Government or a doctor to take COVID-19 test. |
Also you MUST WEAR A MASK AT ALL TIMES while on campus unless you are seated inside your private office, or you are seated inside your own cubicle that is enclosed on three sides by partition wall higher than the person in seated position.
Non-compliance with the University’s health control measures is irresponsible, unacceptable and is a serious misconduct that is actionable under the University’s disciplinary procedure.
If you have any question related to the measures, please contact the Estates Office (hotline: 3411 7997). The latest developments and updates can be found on the HKBU’s Bulletin Board (http://ehsu.hkbu.edu.hk/2019-nCOV/) and the Government website (www.gov.hk).
Please stay vigilant, and stay healthy!
